I have seen a lot of bloggers/blogs write about this colour correction palette from ‘NYX’. I’m going to explain each colour from the yellow- green- purple, so on and hopefully learn something myself.
I’m not going to lie the only one I was sure about was the darkest one at the bottom, which is for dark contouring and the others I’ve tried to google to make sure I haven’t given you any false knowledge. (Bare with me).
Yellow concealers/ yellow concealers are for hiding purply, blue bruises, veins and dark under eye circles. Dark under eye is what I worry about the most. I think the way it works is that purple is across from yellow on the colour chart, so if you listened properly in art you should be fine with this. The yellow is good for a brightening under base.
Green/ green concealers are for neutralising redness in skin. So if you have spots, acne scars or just the usual red cheeks then this is Perfect for you. You guessed it, once again the red is right across from the green in the colour chart.
Purple/ purple concealers are for best suited for eliminating any unwanted yellow undertones on your skin. Especially for People with a dull, yellowy complexion. Remember when removing yellow tones from a lot of your face it would be best to use a purple based primer for more coverage. And to use a smaller application with a brush or a concealer stick for smaller areas.
Pinky orange/ I can see loads of makeup artists and colour people ready to hunt me down with that colour description I just gave. It’s like a burnt salmon? Something like that. This is supposed to be good for tired under eye and gloomy olive skin tones. The orange, pinky and yellow tones help this brighten up.
This colour looks slightly like the one I just explained. Pinky/ orange. I’m gonna go with more orange. This is suppose to be good for people with darker skin tones that want to get rid of dark under eyes. I suppose you could still use this in lighter skin tones for a bit of a creamy bronzer.
And the last one. The browny colour concealer/ I’m guessing this is pretty much the same as the lighter orange but for even darker skin toned people and for people that want a even more dramatic contour.
